Last Fast

Today was the last fast Sunday of the semester.  It felt good to be done with the semester (almost).  At the same time, I kinda hoped this school year didn't end so fast.  I have that feeling before, but this is probably the first time I felt it somewhat more intensely.

The heavy-weight guinea pig champions!!
The 76th Ward has been the 1st ward where I actually tried to get to know as many people as possible.  Something I've never tried in the past.  I'm not saying that the wards I've been in the past are horrible, but I never spent the time immersing myself with its people like I did with this one.

One of the main reasons was my work schedule.  This school year is the first time where I didn't have to work on Monday night or most of the ward activities.

When I moved into the Riviera, I totally played the roommate lottery.  I didn't know any of my roommates, etc.  I'm grateful that things have worked out the way it did and for the people that I've met here.

With four more finals before I am officially done with the semester (and starting Spring and Summer Terms), I still have much work to do.

It's amazing how life just fly by you and soon we are left with memories.  There had been good times, bad times, and even tearful times; however, the trials we face in life are somehow worth it at the end.

I will definitely miss a lot of the good people that are moving out of the ward this Spring and Summer.  I know I'll probably see them around campus and even visit them from time to time, but it won't be the same again.  I've learned a lot from each person I know here.

When next Saturday hits, I'll be playing the roommate lottery again.  I'm looking forward to a fun 4 months with new people and some of the ones that are staying.  The real party starts in the Fall when most people will be down south of campus.

It's weird to see how everyone is moving on with their lives.  I mean, Ryan is gonna be married in August!

My BYU time is also coming to a close.  1.5 years (2.5 if I decide to find a job around Provo before medical school) may sound like a while, but that will soon pass and I don't want to miss a moment.  With that said, this is probably the 2nd to last entry I'll write for this school year.

When Spring starts, I shall try my best to put up a daily update that's more narrative like the ones you've read last Summer.

Just to end, you guys rock!  Thanks for reading this little blog.
