Mid-point Reflection

Well, the semester is more than half way over.  Time really is flying by and before I know it, another year is going to pass.  I had several midterms this week, but that did not phase me at all.  I was confident enough to take all my tests without ire.  So far, I think I did pretty good.

We finally got the punching bag I wanted.  It cost me quite a fortune.  I plan on using it to my benefit.  That adds to the list of random items I've bought last month.  Yes, I still think Marley was the best idea ever!  Just looking at him makes me feel happy.  You'd never think guys would get into that sorts of stuff, but it happens.

Another highlight this week was finding out about the Harvest Buffet near the Cinemark.  My roommates and I are totally visiting there on biweekly or even weekly basis.  I liked the food there because it was similar to the Golden Buffet I used to go at home.  Besides the slightly dimmed lights, I liked the atmosphere.  Oh yeah, they have sushi there as well.

I spent hours talking to Uncle Eddy this week.  I loved the time I spent with him despite of some of the bad news he has made known to me.  My mom, too, told me about some of the potential misfortunes that is about to come.  Nevertheless, I think we can all overcome those trails that are currently ahead of us.  As for me, I'm not too worried about myself.  I have plans and back ups that would require serious bad luck to topple all of them.

This weekend was stake conference, which means I actually had the opportunity to sleep in since the meeting didn't start until 2:00pm.  I was kinda bummed that Taylor and I couldn't sit in the De Jong Concerted Hall.  There were so many people there!

I definitely took notes from the talks on my phone and saved them.  I'll transcribe them later when I have time.  I usually keep stuff in my phone to read when I'm bored.

Funny thing happened at stake conference.  I don't know what it is, but it seems to me that every stake conference, I end up seeing Sam.  When I say I saw her, I meant I was within 10 feet of her.  I know Provo is a small place, but that's just silly.  So glad I'm moving away to a new place this Fall with my friends!

Speaking of which, Ryan will be in the same complex as me in the Fall, but we won't be roommates.  Taylor will live in a complex owned by the same management, but probably not in our ward.  We will most likely all be in the same stake.  I am looking forward to moving on with my life.  Riviera has done its best and I've had my time here.  I'll stay here till the end of summer and then I'm gone.  Time to expand my influence to elsewhere in Provo!
