Change of Scenary

Perhaps one of the more intriguing that happened to me this past week was witnessing the freshmen from when I first returned to BYU are now back from their missions.  Just goes to show that time flies and how I only have two more semesters left in this institution.

While I'm on the subject, it's interesting to see people I know well going on their missions, especially the women.  Sometimes, I'm not sure if I'm just a bystander among the changes or if profound changes also have had effects on me.  In addition, seeing most of my former roommates getting married made me wonder a few other things.

After a series of midterms, another round of exams is coming within the next week.  It's notable that there are only five weeks or so left in this semester until Spring Term.  To count my blessings, I don't have to take classes this spring and summer.  However, I'll have to prepare for the MCAT, which is a pain in itself.

I upgraded my phone this past week!  Now, I have my first smartphone.  It's an iPhone 4S.  It's not the newest model, but works just fine for me.  I'll consider that my late birthday present, among other things.

Lately, there had been a Flight of the Conchords marathon at my apartment.  Yes, if you've been getting messages about retractable pencils, this is why.  In fact, the video attached here is the very song whose lyrics you've been hearing or seeing.

I didn't do an audio log for this entry due to time restraint.  It requires a bit more imagination than simply writing down my thoughts about last week.  Nevertheless, it shall continue as soon as I have enough free time on my hands to burn.

Time will tell.  Making it to the next milestone in life rather quickly doesn't mean you'll have happily ever after.  I've seen plenty with vigor and drive jumping ahead only to fail in mid race.
