Tired

California Quail chick
I felt really tired today because I had less than 5 hours of sleep.  Staying awake in church was a struggle.  Since I had a hard time keeping my eyes open, it was hard for me to write down anything of value from today's fast and testimony meeting.

Work is not even worth mentioning today because absolutely nothing happened.

I missed the unofficial break the fast due to work.

Apparently, Katie found a lost baby bird at her door.  It was the cutest thing I've seen in a while.  The girls at apartment 2 kept it in an open box and gave it some food (hopefully water too) and a little towel.  After some research, I realized that it was a California Quail chick, which can be seen from the attached picture.

It made a lot of noises.  It was probably scared and somehow got lost from its parents.  I wonder what the girls are gonna do about it?  Hopefully, a solution will be found soon.

Alyssa and Kelly took David and me to the tree swing at the nearby trail.  We threw some rocks and each took a turn on the swing.  It was a good change of scenery.  We played games afterward, but I couldn't keep up because I was tired.  I need to do something about the fatigue.  I simply need more sleep.

Pondering

It's true!
It has been a while since I worked a Saturday afternoon.  It was a refreshing experience, especially when we got chocolate shakes.  Fun conversations with coworkers were always welcomed.

I would say my day was great.  I had a good conversation with my family.  I literally had a 200-minute conversation over the phone.  Also, that definitely made my unlimited plan worth it.

I didn't do much with my roommates tonight, but it's okay.  Although, it was kinda weird because I took off work for tonight and worked this afternoon so that I could hang out with David and I ended up not doing it.  James kept me company while he waited for the Riv to figure out what was wrong with his lock.

My books for the upcoming Fall Semester came today.  I liked how the loose-leaf textbooks came with binders.  You could tell that a girl had the book before.  I'm still glad that I saved $150 on textbooks this semester.

I figured I should put more meaningful things on this blog instead of daily happenings.  Usually, insights come to me during Sunday.  Perhaps as the semester commences, I'll update this blog weekly instead of daily.  After all, who wants to know about the usual nonsense that happens in my life?  I need a better reason for keeping this blog.  Otherwise, it's just a mean of gaining attention, which is probably not a good idea in the long run.

Unproductive

It was another typical morning where I did absolutely nothing.  I didn't even feel like talking to people.  I felt so tired I just stayed in bed longer than allotted.  It was an unproductive day.  It was so unproductive that I didn't even bother play games.  I just felt... dead; like something was missing in my life.

Shortly before work, I did visit Christine and Michelle (yes, they are fun to talk to).  At work, I couldn't be more bored.  What do you do when you have to work Friday night and you happen to monitor one of the most boring channels?  I'll tell you what I did.  I stared at the screens blankly.

Dinner break was awful because I hoped to get something from DQ and only to be foiled by, literally, an entire family.  The line was horrendous!  This had to be one of the biggest reasons why I hate Utah.  Everyone and their grandmas had to cram into the line... Given the large size of an average LDS family, the line easily became 8+ people.  I didn't eat at all because I was infuriated.  Luckily, Hana brought in cake when she came in for her overnight shift.

Many things have been on my mind tonight.  I've become more and more restless.  I don't like pushing the blame on other people, but it is hard not to sometimes, especially when I'm just minding my own business.

I can be happy, it's just that someone or something seems to have a grudge against me and loves to send annoyances at me when I'm not in the mood for them.  When was the last time I demanded anything from anyone anyways?

To lighten the mind, I decided to pay another visit to apartment 6.  Let's just say Christine, Michelle, and Tiare do and say the funniest things.

Another Day

Once again, Zach and I woke up around 7:30 this morning because the workers were doing some roof work.  As much as I hated it, I did notice that the annoying little red bugs were no longer around.  Was there a correlation?  Most definitely.  I didn't eat much for breakfast.  In fact, I only drank soy milk and some Sunny D.

Work had a little more happenings than usual.  Shannon brought some crepes.  There were no jam to go along with it, but they were good nonetheless.  We also had pizza had work.  Normally, that only happened during night time, so this was the first time that happened during business hour.  The rest of the shift was straight forward.

It was slightly rainy when I got off work, but nothing drastic like last week.  I sat around for the most part.  I actually talked to Jon today.  It seemed like he's been MIA for some time.  I walked around the Riv and talked to people here and there like usual afterwards.

Later in the night, I did visit apartment 6.  Looks like Michelle is back in town and they were holding some sort of party.  I did stay and chat for a bit and then I left because I was starting to feel tired.  I suppose I have something to look forward to on Saturday night.  It'll be the last Saturday David is here in Provo.

Om Nom Nom Nom!

I only had 2 hours of work this morning.  It was the most productive 2 hours I've ever had.  I only had to manage 2 recordings and prep some promos.   Time went by really fast, especially when I had Andrew, JMF, and Cade in the house.

I came home, played some games and met up with James to go for sushi.  We went to Sushi Ya in Orem and we both went for the all-you-can-eat dinner special.  I chose the "Alaska" first, followed by "Hamachi".  Funny story behind the second order.  I tried to ask the Japanese cook what a hamachi was and he started making it without hesitation (it is yellowtail or Japanese amberjack, a fish).  I guess they didn't speak much English.  Luckily I was on the buffet order.  I loved wasabi in soy sauce!  Finally, I finished my meal off with the "Mountain" and washed everything down with a good glass of Pepsi.  The bill was a hefty $20, but I thought it was worth it.

Upon returning to my apartment, I took a brief nap and started playing games on my laptop again.  I also talked to Christine at one point.  When 8 o'clock hit, I was hoping for some sort of ward sports night, but no one showed up... :(

I chatted with Tiare for a bit and went to the Wilkinson Center to see David.  Alyssa came along to keep us company as well.  There were some teasing, etc., but it was a fun time.  We played card games and watched Rocky IV.

Some other things happened between Wilk and home, but I'll save them for now.  :P

Nonstop

My day started at 9:40 this morning and I've spent less than an hour at my apartment since.  Even as I write this, I've only been home for 10 minutes.  I started my day with a DQ Flamethrower Combo.  :v

Work was excruciating long.  Apparently, I was the worst offender of "leaving my workstation" according to the security cameras.  Next time, I'm going out the other door.  I was supposed to work until 7 tonight, but I realized that I would go over hours if I stayed, so I left early at 6:10.  I'm ready to work only 18 hours a week during the semester.

I came home and I noticed David left a message on my laptop.  I left my laptop logged in this morning to finish some system scanning.  It was a funny message.  I also noticed that I got a letter from one of my friends who's on a mission right now.  Other than that, I paid my rent.  The worst thing about growing up is paying your own bills...

I got a text from David and I went hang out with him at his workplace (and I brought some Wendy's food).  We chatted about various things: people, personal lives, etc.  He sold his couches at his storage units.  I'm glad I was there because the guy had some major surgeries and couldn't lift much and the only other people that could lift at the time was his brother(?) and pregnant wife.

There were so many mosquitoes there... we were being eaten alive!!  Afterwards, we went and got some frosty at Wendy's and hung around until the end of Dave's shift.  Then, we came home.

A New Month!

Can you believe it?  It's August already.  This year sure is moving along.

Work was somewhat frustrating today because weather kept screwing with the recordings.  Of the 10 recordings during my shift, only 3 managed to be without errors.  I also picked up a few "engineering" things today.

I came home and did laundry.  Then, for FHE, we went to the theater and watched Kung Fu Panda 2.  It was a good film.  I enjoyed it.

I spent part of my evening on my laptop until David and Alyssa invited me over to apartment 23 for some games.  I didn't play with cards, so I just watched them playing war.  I liked the Taylor Swift songs playing in the background, though.  We later played Bang!.  It was my first time playing and I thought the game was cool.

I didn't fold my laundry again.  Oh well, I might do it tomorrow.  I'll probably sleep on the couch or something.
